Y型过滤器与管道中阀门及其它主要设备配套使用，也可单独使用于管路中。管道中介质首先进入过滤器，通过滤网再进入连接阀门及管道中，而杂物则留于过滤桶内。
Y型过滤器是有结构先进阻力小，冲洗方便等特点。Y型拉杆伸缩过滤器由Y型过滤器及伸缩接头组成，通常安装在阀门及其它主要设备之进口端，便于清理杂物与安装拆卸，以保护阀类或设备及正常使用。
Y-type filter can be used with valve in a pipeline or other main equipments and can also be individually used in apipeline. The medium in a pipeline goes in to the filter first, then into the connecting valve and pipeline through the filter screen, while foreign matters are left in the filter barrel.
